The Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec grapes were sourced from carefully selected trellised vineyards in Stellenbosch. These low yielding vines contribute to an increased concentration of flavour in the wine.
CLASSIQUE TASTING NOTE:
Ripe, dense and savoury blackcurrant and dark plum fruit on the nose and palate. Well-structured with the abundant fruit and tannin balance. Expressive and elegant. Will age 5-7 years.
DIRECTOR’S RESERVE TASTING NOTE:
Expressive with bold plum, blackcurrant, graphite mineral notes. On the palate the layers unfold into a full-round, smoothly textured tapestry of flavours: cassis, dried tea leaves, cigar box, milk chocolate overlayed by anise and nutmeg and a well-judged tannin grip to finish. Elegant and shows its pedigree. Age 10 years+.
